Today started off with a trip to Giant Eagle in Shadyside for some much needed grocery shopping. I was feeling quite adventurous with my grocery shopping so I decided to pick up some catfish to make Cajun fried catfish. I also decided to get a couple buffalo steaks, because I have enjoyed buffalo burgers on several occasions and it was decided that it was time to try buffalo steaks. I was delightfully pleased with Giant Eagle's customer service at their seafood counter today. I had decided that I was going to try something new and informed the employee this and he worked with me to make suggestions as to what I should try. This is how I came to the solution of trying catfish. Once I fry up the catfish I'll post pictures and my thoughts on how it tastes. Unfortunately this was my only fun part of my day.
What would a day in the life of an engineering student be with out spending 7 or 8 hours in the engineering building. Today's day in Benedum Hall was spent preparing for tomorrow's Water Treatment Design presentation and working on my design for my Pavement Design project. I'm sure many people are thinking, "oh pavement design... How is that difficult? Isn't it just concrete put over the ground?" Well if you're are thinking this; I hate to tell you, but you are very wrong. I will no bore you with all the different factors that go into designing a pavement but just know it is quite a process with a lot of factors taken into account. Hope you enjoyed my first entry and I will let you know how everything turns out.
